A Split-Foundry Asynchronous FPGA

We present the first published measurements of a complex digital integrated circuit fabricated in both standard and split-foundry processes. Our 1.3-million transistor asynchronous FPGA operates at over 300 MHz in 130nm. We discuss the challenges inherent in split design and our automated layout tools that address them.
